찰칵 매거진 지면에서 활약하는 15명 아티스트의 작품을 전시. 시대와 함께 변화하는 사진표현에 새로운 무브먼트를 만들어내는 아시아의 젊은 포토그래퍼들.
계속해서 물어지는 “사진이란 무엇인가”라는 근원적인 의문에서 벗어나, 사진을 한 걸음 진화시킬 수 있는 새로운 물음을 던진다.
다양한 문화권에서 자라나고 다양한 배경을 가진 이들의 작품을 통해 현재 그리고 미래에 있어서의 「사진」이란 무엇인가를 고찰한다.

일러스트레이터, 모델, 아트디렉터, 뮤지션 등 한국 · 서울의 문화를 견인하는 10명의 디렉터에 의한 라이프 스타일 사진(라이프 로그), 아트 워크의 전시. 각 디렉터가 일회용 카메라 등을 이용해 촬영한 데이&나이트 라이프의 스냅사진을 통해 현장감 넘치는 서울의 일상을 엿볼 수 있다.

오늘날 아시아의 MZ 작가들은 멀티컬처기반의 다양한 영역과 범위를 넘나들며 작업하고 있다. 그들은 정서적, 맥락적 확장성을 가지고 활동하고 있으며 이는 기존의 맥락화된 범주가 아닌, 탈범주화 된 방식으로 작동하고 있다. 이들은 매체나 장르에 얽매이지 않고 진화를 통해 새로운 장르와 활동의 방식, 범위를 개척하고 있다.

‘아시아’라는 복잡하고 미묘한 정체성을 기반으로 탄생한 이들이 작업하는 방식과 활동의 범위는 기존의 필드와는 사뭇 다르다. 그렇기에 지금의 지표로 잡히지 않는 다양한 매트릭스 안에서 활동하고 있다. 고정된 물성에 정착하지 않으며, 기성의 규칙을 따르지 않고, 각자의 전략과 방식으로 지금의 최전선의 이미지들을 만들어내고 있다. 지금의 사진의 흐름은 ‘질의’ 시대에서 양의’ 시대를 향해 흐르고 있다. 우리는 그 흐름 속에서 그것들을 만들어내는 이들이 누구인지, 어떤 이미지를 만들어내고, 어떤 방식으로 작동하고, 어떤 궤적으로 이동하는지 보여주고자 한다.

Today, MZ artists in Asia work across various domains and ranges based on multiculturalism. They are operating with emotional and contextual scalability and are operating in a de-categorized way, not in the existing contextualized category. They are pioneering new genres and activities through evolution without being bound by media or genres.

Born based on the complex and subtle identity of "Asia," the way they work and the scope of their activities are quite different from the existing fields, so they operate within a variety of matrices that are not identified by the current indicators. It does not settle in fixed properties, does not follow established rules, and creates images of the current front line with its own strategies and methods. The current flow of photography is flowing from the era of 'quality' to the era of 'quantity'. We want to show who creates them in the flow, what images they create, how they work, and what trajectories they travel.
