Yoko Kusano
Yoko Kusano majored in graphic design at Kuwasawa Design Institute. In 2014, during her studies, she received critical acclaim for being awarded for Excellence in the New Cosmos of Photography 2014 the 37th competition. Her work tenderly and without a reserve captures the subjects and their most natural behavior. Kusano published “Everything is temporary (Pull the Wool, 2017)”, “Yoko Kusano x Motola Serena (Daikanyama Books, 2017)”, and “Across the Sea (Roshin Books, 2018).” She continues to open exhibitions in cities such as Tokyo, Amsterdam, and Paris and has actively engaged in various media, including fashion and cultural magazines.
쿠와사와 디자인 연구소에서 그래픽 디자인을 전공했으며, 2014년 재학생일 당시 "제37회 캐논 신세기 사진 공모전 (Masashi Sauchi)"에서 선정되어 화제를 모았다. 자유롭고 부드러운 시선으로 피사체의 가장 자연스러운 장면을 포착해내는 작가는 2017년 이래로 사진집 <모든 것은 일시적이다 (풀더울, 2017)>, <요코 쿠사노 x 모토라 세리나 (다이칸야마 북스, 2017)>, <바다를 건너 (로신 북스, 2018)>을 출판했다. 현재는 도쿄, 암스테르담, 파리 등에서 전시를 이어가고 있으며, 그 외 패션 및 문화 잡지를 포함한 다양한 미디어에서 활발하게 활동하고 있다.
