Patcha Kichaicharoen

Patcha works as an actress as well as in photography and graphics. Having started her career as an art director, she is one of the few female pho- tographers in the male-dominated Thai photography scene. A self-described food photographer, she came to focus on the table and food as the center of her family’s emotions, memories, and experiences when she returned home from studying photography in New York. This led to her current rise to fame. She also successfully launched her career as an actress, starring in the much-loved Netflix film <Happy Old Year>(2019).

사진과 그래픽 작업을 하고 배우로도 활동한다. 아트 디렉터로 커리어를 시작한 그녀는 남성중심의 태국 사진계에서 손꼽히는 여성 포토그래퍼로 주목받고 있다. 스스로를 ‘푸드 포토그래퍼’라 지칭하는 그녀는 뉴욕에서 사진 공부를 마치고 귀국하던 시기, 가족과 나눈 정서와 기억, 경험의 중심이었던 ‘식탁’과‘음식’에 집중하게 되었고, 그 덕분에 오늘날의 명성을 얻었다. 또 넷플릭스에서 많은 사랑을 받은 영화 <너를 정리하는 법>(2019)에 출연하며 배우로서의 커리어 역시 성공적으로 시작했다.
