Xiao Yang
Xiao Yang grew a passion for photography during her first trip to Cambodia. She has traveled to a little over forty countries since then as a photographer and explorer who blends photography with adventures. She searches for modernist architecture, monuments, abandoned historic places, and disremembered structures across Eastern Europe. She loves urban expeditions, light painting, and night photography which she combines to create surreal pieces of art that recall scenes from science fiction novels. Her work has been introduced in media such as “Photographic Travel Magazine”, “N-Photo”, and “Travelers”.
1984년 베이징에서 태어나 바르셀로나에 거주하고 있다. 처음 떠난 캄보디아 여행에서 사진에 대한 열정을 가지게 되었으며, 그 후로 여행과 사진을 엮어 사진가이자 탐험가로 40개국 이상을 방문했다. 동유럽 전역 모더니스트들의 건축물, 기념물, 버려진 유적지, 잊힌 구조물을 찾아다닌다. 도시 탐험과 라이트 페인팅, 야간 사진을 사랑하며 그 세 가지를 결합하여 공상 과학 소설의 한 장면처럼 보이는 초현실적인 예술 작품을 만든다. "Photographic Travel Magazine", "N-Photo" 등의 매체에 소개되었다.
